Ukraine significantly increased the production of long-range drones in 2024 compared to the previous year, announced the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, in an interview with Welt.

According to him, this year the production of long-range drones has increased tenfold compared to the previous year.

"Most of the drones that attacked Russian oil refineries have a range of 700 to 1000 km, but now there are models that can fly over 1000 km," Fedorov said.

The minister believes that the outcome of the war depends on the development of drone technologies. However, it is currently impossible to say who is winning the technological war - in some areas, we are winning, while in others, the Russians surpass us.

Production of drones in Ukraine

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised to "surprise" Russia with drones and EW systems produced in our country.

At the same time, Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin stated that Ukraine has caught up with Russia in the number of produced drones that are analogs of Shaheds.

He also noted that Ukraine is making progress in the production of other attack drones.

Additionally, earlier in March, Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Hanna Hvozdiar stated that this year, production figures for Ukrainian drones could reach two million.
