Zelenskyy promised to surprise Russia with Ukrainian drones and EW
Ukraine to surprise Russia with domestic weapon technologies. This includes drones and EW systems, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Munich Security Conference.
"We have begun developing drone production. We will surprise them (Russian troops - Ed.) this year with drone systems and EW systems, both positively for us and negatively for the Russian Federation. These are our domestic technologies," Zelenskyy said.
He added, "This is a parallel path while we await assistance from our partners."
Ukrainian-made drones and EW systems
It's worth noting that the Ukrainian army is equipped with dozens of domestically produced drones. This includes not only UAVs but also surface drones.
Earlier, the Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamishin, announced that Ukraine has established serial production of a domestic counterpart to the Shahed drones.
Additionally, Ukraine is developing its own version of the Russian kamikaze drone Lancet, which is already being tested on the front lines.
Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, revealed that Ukraine has now caught up with Russia in the number of long-range kamikaze drones. He also expressed ambitions to transition EW system production to commercial rails and open it up to entrepreneurs.
