Death toll rises again in Kyiv after overnight Russian attack

The death toll from the overnight Russian attack on Kyiv on July 31 has risen to 13. The bodies of two more victims were recovered from the rubble in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital, according to Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko.
"Debris removal is still ongoing at the site of the Russian strike in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Rescue workers continue recovering the bodies of the victims. As of now, there are 10 victims at this location. A total of 12 in Kyiv," Tkachenko wrote.
He later confirmed that the total number of fatalities in Kyiv had risen to 13.
Attack on Kyiv on July 31
In the early hours of July 31, Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Kyiv.
More than 100 sites were affected in the strike, including not only residential buildings but also schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and a university.
In particular, an apartment block entrance was destroyed in the Sviatoshynskyi district, while several apartments were damaged in residential buildings in the Solomianskyi district.
Earlier reports indicated at least 11 fatalities, including a child. More than 135 people were also injured.
