Strike on Kyiv on July 31

On the night of July 31, the Russian military launched a large-scale attack on Kyiv, using rockets and kamikaze drones simultaneously. The greatest damage was inflicted on the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a rocket hit a multi-story residential building, completely destroying one of its entrances. Rescue teams are still clearing the rubble, searching for victims. Medical personnel, rescuers, and other emergency crews are working on the site.

The attack damaged over a hundred facilities, including not only residential buildings but also schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and higher education institutions.

According to preliminary information, during the attack, Russian forces launched more than 300 drones and at least eight rockets. Despite the active work of air defense forces, some enemy targets managed to get through and caused serious destruction.

Searches for people trapped under the rubble are ongoing. For more details about the aftermath of the attack, see the RBC-Ukraine report.
