Ukraine halts Ilsky oil refinery in Russia: New details revealed

The Ilsky oil refinery halted operations after Ukraine's Defense Forces struck it on September 26. This time, several primary oil refining units were hit, but they were not the only targets, according to a Fire Point statement.
The company's press service said that FP-1 UAVs were used during the airstrike on the Russian facility. The FP-1 is a Ukrainian long-range strike drone designed to hit targets at considerable distances.
The FP-1's flight range is estimated at approximately 1,600 km, although specific capabilities may vary depending on the modification and payload.
The drone's warhead can weigh up to several hundred kilograms. FP-1 drones are primarily used to strike military and fuel-and-energy infrastructure facilities in Russia.
"The strike hit three primary refining units and a storage tank farm, forcing the facility to halt work," Fire Point said.

The attack on the Ilsky oil refinery, located in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, took place last night. The General Staff has already confirmed the airstrike on the Russian facility.
The refinery can process about 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The facility receives, stores, and processes crude oil, and produces and ships petroleum products.
The General Staff notes that the facility's products also meet the needs of the Russian military.
As previously reported, last month, Ukrainian armed forces attacked the Ilsky and Syzran oil refineries.
The Perm oil refinery also suspended operations following an attack by a Ukrainian drone.
In addition, the day before, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck a Russian plant that manufactures components for missiles and artillery.
