A Ukrainian drone attack on the Perm oil refinery on September 25 proved successful. The facility has halted operations, Reuters reports.
Perm oil refinery halts operations
The Perm oil refinery is the seventh-largest oil refinery in Russia by processing volume. Today, it halted operations following a Ukrainian drone attack.
The UAV strike caused a fire and damaged pipelines, storage facilities, and processing units, two industry sources told the outlet.
Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin wrote on his Telegram channel that an industrial facility had been attacked but did not specify which one.
Attacks on the Perm oil refinery
Earlier, the oil refinery was attacked on August 21. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility.
A fire and damage to processing units caused by a drone strike led to the Perm refinery halting operations on August 24.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that during the night of September 25, Ukrainian forces struck the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez refinery. A fire was reported at the facility.
