An oil refinery was attacked in Russia’s Perm. A massive fire broke out at the facility, citing OSINT channels.

An oil refinery in Russia’s Perm was reportedly attacked.

A fire continues to rage at the facility following the strike. Residents are already posting videos on social media showing flames and smoke over the refinery.

The Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery was hit. Official details on the extent of the damage have not yet been disclosed.

Local authorities are only reporting the number of Ukrainian drones shot down. Flights at the airport have been suspended.

What is known about the refinery

Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez is part of the Lukoil group and is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries.

  • The refinery has a capacity of more than 13 million tons of crude oil per year;
  • The facility produces a wide range of petroleum products, including gasoline and diesel fuel;
  • It supplies fuel to both the civilian sector and the Russian military.

The facility has already been targeted by drone attacks multiple times during 2026.

Meanwhile, about 10,000 people were left without power in the Moscow region after a massive drone attack.

The mayor of Moscow said hundreds of drones were flying toward the region, with dozens of them shot down over the area.

As RBC-Ukraine reported, Ukrainian officials are reportedly credited with a plan to attack Moscow’s airports with thousands of drones. According to the media, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy initially expressed concerns about the plan, and preparations for it were subsequently suspended.
