Ukraine faces massive funding shortfall, but there is a way out — Zelenskyy

Ukraine currently faces a huge hole in its state budget. However, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a media briefing at the Carpathian 8 meeting, as reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine, that proposals exist to address the problem.
Zelenskyy on state budget deficit
According to the president, Ukraine has a "cosmic funding deficit" but is working to find a way out.
"Yesterday, we spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and we will meet with her soon. We are preparing some proposals to address the deficit, the one I was talking about, the cosmic one, saying between us," Zelenskyy said.
He noted that Ukraine will find a way out of this situation.
"I already know some of them. There are already agreements," the president added.
He also said that Ukraine is preparing to produce high-speed interceptor drones.
As previously reported, two Ukrainian companies had successfully conducted combat tests of new interceptor drones. They shot down a Russian jet-powered Shahed, Zelenskyy said.
Also, according to the head of state, the summit of Carpathian countries is being held in Ukraine for the first time and brings together regions and communities from eight neighboring countries.
Creation of the Carpathian 8 is intended to bring the countries closer together and establish a new platform for addressing common challenges.
In addition, President Zelenskyy said that Kyiv is preparing for talks with US representatives. According to him, these contacts are intended to strengthen Ukraine's position in its confrontation with Russia.
