Zelenskyy signs extension of martial law and mobilization until November 2025

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for 90 days, until November 5, 2025.

The drafts approved by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15 confirm the presidential decrees extending martial law and general mobilization.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister gets new deputies

Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal has announced the names of his six deputy ministers. They are Ivan Havryliuk, Serhii Boiev, Anna Hvozdiar, Volodymyr Zaverukha, Yurii Myronenko, and Oksana Ferchuk.

Shmyhal briefly introduced his new deputies and explained their areas of responsibility. Most of them have already held various positions in the Ministry of Defense, while some came from the Ministry of Strategic Industries or the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
