Russian propaganda messages spread on social media claiming their troops had entered the first village in the Dnipropetrovsk region — Dachne. Sources in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told RBC-Ukraine these reports are false.

The day before, videos circulated on social media, published by Russians. The posts claimed that Russian troops were already on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically in the village of Dachne.

One video shows Russian troops allegedly occupying dugouts in Dachne and raising Russian flags. Russian social media pages claim the village is "completely captured."

RBC-Ukraine reached out to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for comment. They told the outlet that these Russian claims are false.

"This is Russian disinformation. Fighting continues within the Donetsk region," the General Staff said.

Russian troops are trying to break into the Dnipropetrovsk region

Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that an information wave is very important for Russia. Enemy troops are trying to put "at least one foot" on the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On June 30, 2025, the Ukrainian OSINT project Deepstate reported that a so-called gray zone had already formed in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

However, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, stated that there has been no breakthrough by Russian forces into the Dnipropetrovsk region.

"The Russians are also sending FPV drones into the Dnipropetrovsk region. But there is no breakthrough at the moment," Kovalenko said.

Meanwhile, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops, said no breakthrough by Russian troops into the Dnipropetrovsk region has been recorded.

"Very active fighting is taking place in villages located near the administrative border of the region, such as Yalta, Komar, and Shevchenkove — but the defense is holding," he said.
