Kovalenko’s response
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation stated that Russian forces have not broken through into the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"Fighting is taking place near the administrative border. The Russians are also sending FPV drones into the Dnipropetrovsk region. But there is no breakthrough at the moment — the battles are intense," he added.
Reaction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops, Viktor Trehubov, confirmed in a comment to Suspilne that there has been no breakthrough by the Russian army into the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"Very active fighting is taking place in villages located near the administrative border of the region — such as Yalta, Komar, and Shevchenkove — but the defense is holding," he said.
At the same time, the press officer of the Spartan 3rd National Guard Brigade, which is defending in the Pokrovsk direction, denied rumors of a Russian breakthrough into the Dnipropetrovsk region in a comment to Suspilne.
The 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade also did not confirm any enemy breakthrough.
