The next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, known as the Ramstein format, will take place at NATO headquarters on October 15. This will be the 31st meeting, according to NATO.

The meeting is being convened by the United Kingdom and Germany.

"On Wednesday 15 October 2025, the United Kingdom and Germany will convene the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at NATO HQ," the statement says.

The agenda for the NATO meeting has not yet been released.

On October 15, the 31st meeting in the Ramstein format will take place.

Ramstein

Ukraine Defense Contact Group brings together more than 50 partner countries and coordinates military assistance to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.

The format is named after the German airbase Ramstein, where the first meetings took place after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in April 2022.

After the change of power in the US, leadership in the Ramstein format passed to the UK and Germany.

Previous meetings

The 30th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place on September 9 in London in an online format. It was attended by British Defense Minister John Healey, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

During this meeting, Ukraine received an important signal that international support will continue and intensify.

It was also announced during the meeting that the UK will finance the production of thousands of long-range drones for the Ukrainian military over the course of the year.

Meanwhile, Germany is in the process of supplying Ukraine with two complete Patriot air defense systems.

Before that, a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group was also held online.
