UK will fund production of thousands of long-range drones for Ukraine - MoD

The United Kingdom will fund the production of thousands of long-range drones for the Ukrainian military over the course of a year, British Defense Secretary John Healey announced during the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting.
According to him, the drones will be manufactured in the UK and then delivered to Ukraine.
Healey stated that over the next 12 months, the United Kingdom would fund the production of thousands of long-range kamikaze drones, which would be manufactured in the UK and delivered to Ukraine.
Ukraine Defense Contact Group
Today, September 9, the 30th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group is taking place in London.
The online meeting is attended, among others, by British Defense Secretary John Healey, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined Ukraine’s expectations from the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.
Shmyhal stated that Ukraine’s key priority is to ensure uninterrupted military and financial assistance, strengthen air defense, and develop joint defense industry production.
He added that a series of negotiations with government officials of partner countries, as well as with private manufacturers, will be held to achieve this. He said Ukraine expects increased support and the launch of new projects to strengthen the security of both Ukraine and Europe as a whole.
