Ukraine considers the agreements on halting strikes on Russia's energy infrastructure to be in effect and informs the US about Russia’s violations of the energy ceasefire, stated the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Pavlo Palisa, according to Suspilne.

According to Palisa, Ukraine has provided the US with evidence of Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities. However, Kyiv did not provide the White House with a list with exact data on the infrastructure facilities hit by Russia in violation of the ceasefire.

"We are talking about identifying infrastructure facilities that are critically important for us. However, under no circumstances are coordinates or full lists of critical infrastructure objects shared with anyone. That would defy logic and common sense - you understand that. Only object criteria," Palisa explained.

General Staff statement on adherence to the ceasefire

On Thursday, April 3, Ukraine’s General Staff issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to the energy ceasefire.

The General Staff emphasized that Ukraine's Defense Forces strictly adhere to the agreements reached with partners and have not conducted strikes on energy facilities in either Russian territory or the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.

Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Ministry claimed that Ukraine had launched new strikes on several Russian oil, gas, and power facilities. However, Ukraine’s General Staff dismissed these claims as fake.

"Fire is carried out exclusively at military targets of the Russian occupation army," the statement said.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces recorded multiple violations of the agreements by the Russian military. In the last ten days of March, Russia repeatedly attacked energy facilities in Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.

Energy ceasefire

Ukraine and Russia, mediated by the US, agreed to halt strikes on energy and port infrastructure. The truce took effect on March 25.

However, Russian forces violated the agreement almost immediately by attacking Ukraine's energy facilities.

One of the recent attacks targeted an energy facility in Kherson, leaving 45,000 residents without power.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that Ukraine is providing the US with all data on Russia’s violations of the ceasefire.
