Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the results of the briefing by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov in his post on X.

The President said that personnel decisions have been made to strengthen the air defense system, an audit of weapons deliveries to the troops is underway, and technological control over the battlefield is being expanded.

Personnel moves to strengthen short-range air defense

Zelenskyy stated that personnel decisions have been approved to reinforce the air defense system. In particular, a new Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been appointed to oversee the short-range air defense system.

The goal is to transform the use of interceptors, mobile fire units, and other units to maximize their effectiveness.

Audit of weapons and drone deliveries

The President said an audit of weapons and essential equipment deliveries to Ukrainian units is ongoing.

Special emphasis has been placed on ensuring that each combat brigade receives a guaranteed number of drones.

Technological control over the battlefield

Ukraine is also continuing to develop its technological control system over the battlefield and the real-time destruction of enemy forces.

This includes launching tools for the operational analysis of every enemy strike and every Ukrainian military operation.

"I am grateful to everyone who is providing the most advanced solutions for the Ukrainian army. We will present such solutions," Zelenskyy said.

Defense Ministry directives on protecting the skies

Earlier, the President issued specific directives to Fedorov regarding the Air Force and strengthening the country’s airspace defense.

Fedorov recently became the head of the Ministry of Defense, with 277 members of parliament voting in favor of his appointment.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine previously had several air defense systems without missiles, but the necessary ammunition has now arrived. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense notes that the country still requires additional missiles for Patriot and NASAMS systems to protect critical infrastructure from massive Russian attacks.
