Ukraine and the United States have agreed on most points of the peace plan, including security guarantees from Washington and Europe for Kyiv, Axios reports.

According to officials from both countries, most points of the agreement have been agreed upon between the United States and Ukraine, including security guarantees that Kyiv will receive from the United States and Europe.

A senior US official confirmed Washington's readiness to submit security guarantees to the Senate for ratification under Article 5 of the NATO Charter.

At the same time, the main obstacle remains Russia's demand to control the entire Donbas.

US peace plan

Ukraine and the United States held a series of consultations during a meeting in Miami on December 19–21, during which they focused on four key documents — parts of a future peace agreement. Most issues were agreed upon, but the territorial question remains the most challenging topic.

Yesterday, December 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the first time revealed the content of the 20 points of the peace plan.

In the United States, officials said that resolving the war in Ukraine and achieving lasting peace there is entirely possible within the next 90 days. The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to pressure both sides — Russia and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Russia is demanding changes to the latest version of the US peace plan to end the war in Ukraine. In particular, the Kremlin wants more restrictions on the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as solutions regarding sanctions and its frozen assets.

On Sunday, December 28, Zelenskyy will meet with US President Donald Trump. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Trump's residence in Florida. The leaders will discuss the peace plan.
