Ukraine and the Netherlands will establish joint drone production, with the agreement to be signed by the defense ministers of both countries, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans reported.

"A new milestone: Ukraine and the Netherlands are going to produce drones together in both our countries," Brekelmans said.

He also added that he signed the corresponding agreement on joint drone production under the Build With Ukraine program today with Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal.

"This strengthens our joint security, resilience, and innovation," the Dutch defense minister added.

What Ukraine's Ministry of Defense says

"Today I signed an important agreement with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans. The document paves the way for the joint production of Ukrainian unmanned systems both in Ukraine and on the territory of the Netherlands," Shmyhal said.

According to him, production will be divided between Ukraine and the Netherlands. The drones will be purchased by the Dutch side and transferred to Ukraine's Defense Forces.

"We continue to scale up the production of the best samples of Ukrainian weaponry in cooperation with partners," he added.

Ukraine produces drones with partners

Yesterday, on November 30, it became known that Ukraine and Norway will jointly produce domestic drones. The corresponding document was signed by the defense ministers of the two countries. They plan to quickly deploy a pilot production line in 2026 and scale up simultaneously.

The United Kingdom will sign an agreement with Ukraine to develop and produce advanced military equipment jointly. It provides for technology sharing that will strengthen the national security of both countries.

In addition, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier stated that Ukraine, together with the United States, has begun producing interceptor drones capable of combating Russian attack UAVs.

Ukraine is currently working on countering Russian guided aerial bombs. Several companies are developing special interceptor drones for this purpose. Ukrainian engineers have also created inexpensive interceptor drones that are already shooting down hundreds of Russian Shaheds.
