Ukraine and Croatia have agreed to expand joint weapons production. The countries signed a Letter of Intent to deepen defense-industrial cooperation, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"I thanked Croatia for its firm support and for providing 13 military aid packages worth over €200 million. We expect the 14th aid package to arrive soon and the 15th by the end of this year," Shmyhal said during a meeting with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić.

According to him, at the beginning of 2026, Ukraine and Croatia will hold a joint industrial forum for defense manufacturers.

In addition, the defense ministers of the two countries discussed joint participation in the SAFE mechanism and the possibility of Croatia joining the PURL initiative.

"Also discussed the potential for participation in the joint FPV drone production initiative," Shmyhal added.

Shmyhal also highlighted Croatia's role in the activities of the Demining Coalition. In particular, the Croatian company DOK-ING has already delivered 69 demining vehicles and has begun producing spare parts on Ukrainian territory.

Yesterday, October 26, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit.

"In addition to this bilateral visit, I came to Kyiv to pay tribute to the brave Ukrainian people, Ukrainian soldiers, and all victims of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine," he said.

Earlier, Shmyhal reported that during the last Ramstein meeting, several partner countries announced new contributions to the PURL program for purchasing US weapons for Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Minister said that Ukraine discussed all types of long-range missiles with the United States. According to him, they will be combined with deep strikes on targets inside Russia.
