The British Ministry of Defense has announced that the Interflex program, which combines combat and leadership training for Ukrainian military personnel, will be extended until at least the end of 2026, according to Bloomberg.

At the same time, work on a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia has intensified, according to media reports.

According to the Ministry of Defense, a coalition led by the United Kingdom and France has developed plans to deploy multinational forces in Ukraine to deter possible attacks after the agreement is signed.

In recent months, over 200 military planners from about 30 countries have participated in the meetings.

The first stage of the package involves strengthening the Ukrainian armed forces through training and reinforcement, which will be supported by a multinational group located away from the front lines.

The next phase includes a US backstop for intelligence sharing, border surveillance, weapons, and possibly air defense.

Currently, more than 50,000 Ukrainian recruits have been trained in the UK under the Interflex program.

The program was launched in June 2022 in the UK and has now been joined by 13 countries.

Over the past three years, over 56,000 Ukrainian military personnel have undergone training.

In addition, this year, the UK is investing £350 million ($472 million) to increase drone deliveries to Ukraine to 100,000 units.
