This year, the United Kingdom will invest £350 million ($472 million) to increase drone deliveries to Ukraine, aiming to supply up to 100,000 units, the UK Ministry of Defense reports.

Over the past year, the UK supplied Ukraine with more than 10,000 drones. In fact, tens of thousands have already been delivered toward reaching the new goal of 100,000 drones for the current financial year.

"The record £350m ($472 million - ed.) investment in drones for Ukraine is part of the UK's £4.5bn ($6.08 billion - ed.) military support this year," the UK Ministry of Defense adds.

The Ministry also noted that during today's meeting of the Ramstein format (the Ukraine Defence Contact Group), UK Defense Secretary John Healey will announce an additional £247 million ($333.75 million) in funding for the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the Interflex program.

UK assistance to Ukraine

From the very beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the UK has been one of Ukraine's key allies. London provides military, financial, and humanitarian aid, including air defense systems, armored vehicles, long-range missiles, and training for Ukrainian soldiers.

In addition to supplying weapons, the UK actively supports Ukraine on the international stage, strengthens sanctions against Russia, and participates in projects to rebuild liberated territories.

As previously reported, the UK has already delivered eight Raven air defense systems to Ukraine, which are now successfully shooting down Shahed drones.
