Trump won't set peace terms on Ukraine and Russia, he acting as mediator - Ambassador Whitaker

US President Donald Trump does not intend to impose conditions on a future peace between Ukraine and Russia. He is only acting as a mediator, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said on Fox Business.
"President Trump is going to continue to find the leverage and to find the conditions where he can bring both sides and mediate a resolution, because, again, he's not going to set the conditions. Both sides are going to have to agree to a peace deal," Whitaker said.
He added that the US will continue working to end Russia’s war against Ukraine and hopes that the conflict will be resolved in the near future to stop further loss of life.
Trump is trying to end the war in Ukraine, while Putin is obstructing
Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to obstruct the peace process in every possible way.
In particular, the Kremlin leader has still refused to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, despite the Ukrainian leader repeatedly expressing his readiness for such talks.
In addition, over the past few weeks, Russia has intensified its massive attacks on Ukraine, using a large number of drones and missiles.
Yesterday, September 18, US President Donald Trump stated that Russia’s war against Ukraine will come to an end and that everything will be done properly. Good news may be coming soon.
According to him, the relationship between Putin and Zelenskyy is terrible. However, a solution to end the war will be found.
Trump also said that Putin has let him down regarding the resolution of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
