Trump warns Ukraine war must end or 'terrible price' will be paid

US President Donald Trump said that ending the war in Ukraine is more difficult than he expected, according to his remarks with journalists at the White House.
In particular, during his conversation with reporters, Trump said that he had put an end to seven wars, and that the Ukrainian conflict would face the same.
Trump stated that they would do other things as well, but it had turned out to be a little more difficult than he had thought. He added that it would be done.
However, the American president noted that if the war in Ukraine does not stop, a terrible price will have to be paid.
Security guarantees for Ukraine from Trump
Earlier, it became known that Trump is ready to provide security guarantees to Kyiv, but he publicly stated that there would be no American troops in Ukraine. At the same time, according to The Telegraph, he is discussing with Europeans the possibility of deploying American private military contractors.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of the Willing — the very European countries Trump refers to — initially announced their readiness to deploy deterrence forces in Ukraine. After a meeting at the White House, about 10 countries agreed to send troops to Ukraine. The coalition will also send its military planners to the US for consultations.
However, on August 30, it became known that the coalition had suddenly decided to reduce the military contingent it would send to Ukraine after the war. The reason lies in limited resources and concerns about provoking Moscow.
In addition, the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, and the US made new statements regarding the war and peace talks - read more about this in the RBC-Ukraine report.
