Trump threatens Putin with strong blow: Patience running out very quickly

The US may deliver a strong blow to Russia through sanctions, targeting Russian oil and banks, according to a statement by US President Donald Trump.
Trump was asked whether his patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin is running out.
"Yeah, it's sort of running out, and running out fast, but it does take two to tango. It’s amazing. When Putin wants to do it, Zelenskyy (President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy – ed.) didn’t. When Zelenskyy wanted to do it, Putin didn’t," Trump said.
In his view, Zelenskyy now wants peace, while Putin is uncertain. And that is why the US will have to act very tough.
"Well, I'd be hitting very hard on with sanctions to banks, and having to do it to oil and tariffs. But I’ve already done it. I’ve done a lot," Trump noted, commenting on the question of how to pressure Putin.
The president recalled that he had imposed 50% tariffs against India, which was "Russia’s biggest customer." He called it a "big deal" that caused disagreements with Delhi..
Trump’s threats
US President Donald Trump has been threatening Russia with sanctions and tariffs over the past several months.
The American leader even set a deadline for the Russian President by which Russia was supposed to reach a truce with Ukraine. However, after the deadline passed, Trump did not impose the tough sanctions and tariffs.
An unnamed EU diplomat told Politico that Trump has now decided to pressure Russia using sanctions.
