US President Donald Trump is well informed about the plan worked on by his special envoy, Steve Witkoff. Developing a plan to end the war in Ukraine has become a priority for the White House, according to Suspilne.
A source at the White House told the outlet that over the past month, the Trump administration has been working on a detailed plan to end the war in Ukraine. This was confirmed by White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.
"President Trump has been clear since day one that he wants the war between Russia and Ukraine to end, and he has grown frustrated with both sides for their refusal to commit to a peace agreement," she said.
One official confirmed that Witkoff has quietly been working on this plan for a month. The source added that Witkoff is gathering proposals from both sides, and both Ukraine and Russia will need to make concessions. As for Trump, he is fully informed and supports Witkoff’s ideas.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially received a draft plan from the United States, which, according to the American side, could help advance diplomatic efforts. Zelenskyy said he will discuss this plan with Trump in the near future.
The plan supposedly consists of 28 points and effectively calls for Ukraine's capitulation. In particular, it demands that Ukraine give up Donbas, half of its army, and more.
On November 20, Bloomberg reported two more key demands of the US peace plan. These include lifting international sanctions and halting processes that document Russian crimes against Ukraine’s civilian population and infrastructure.
