NATO Summit in The Hague
The NATO Summit is taking place in The Hague from June 24 to 25. One of the key events is expected to be a meeting of the NATO–Ukraine Council.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte opened the summit, noting that it is being held "at a dangerous moment for one billion citizens." The main focus is on increasing defense spending, but member states are also set to discuss continued support for Ukraine.
A meeting between Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also expected. However, the Ukrainian leader has several other meetings scheduled as well.
Earlier, the media reported that the final communiqué is not expected to include a promise to admit Ukraine into NATO.
