NATO to hold Ukraine Council meeting during The Hague summit

The North Atlantic Alliance has published the agenda for the summit, which will take place on 24-25 June in The Hague. Notably, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council is scheduled, according to NATO's press service.
According to the programme, on the evening of 24 June, a working dinner of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers is scheduled, chaired by the Alliance's Deputy Secretary General.
This is the only public event involving a non-NATO country mentioned in the programme.
At the same time, according to the programme, heads of state and government of the Allied countries, accompanied by their spouses, will arrive at Huis ten Bosch Palace to attend a social dinner hosted by the King and Queen of the Netherlands.
The meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of heads of state and government will take place the following day, 25 June, under the chairmanship of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
NATO summit in The Hague
The upcoming NATO summit will take place in The Hague (Netherlands) on 24-25 June. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also been invited to attend.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that during the summit, Alliance member states will discuss military assistance for Ukraine. The goal, he said, is to ensure that Kyiv is in the best possible position to continue resisting Russia, and that any peace deal following the end of hostilities is sustainable.
Rutte also noted that the final declaration of the NATO summit in The Hague, scheduled for the end of June, will explicitly outline military support for Ukraine.
According to Radio Free Europe, the summit will be shortened from three days to two due to concerns within the Alliance over the possibility of renewed controversy involving US President Donald Trump.
The outlet recalled the 2018 NATO summit in Brussels during Trump's first term, when video footage of a tense exchange with then-Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg set the tone for the meeting. Trump, for his part, threatened to withdraw the US entirely from the military alliance.
To avoid potential conflicts at this June's summit, the event will now last two days. While the programme has yet to be finalized, it is expected that the first day will include an official dinner, and the second will feature two working sessions: one focused on defense spending, and the other on the development of defense industries.
