“They have already developed missiles that can threaten Europe and our bases overseas, and they are working to build missiles that will soon reach the United States of America,” Trump said.

He also emphasized that Tehran representatives have already been warned not to make any future attempts to revive their strategic weapons program, including nuclear weapons. However, they continue to carry out certain work.

“We are in negotiations with them, they want to make a deal, but we haven’t heard those secret words — we will never have a nuclear weapon,” he added.

According to the US president, it would be better for everyone to resolve this problem through diplomatic means.

Trump emphasized that he would never allow what he called the world’s number one sponsor of terrorism, which he said they unquestionably are, to obtain nuclear weapons, stating that this should not be permitted.

Also, Axios reported that the US is ready to hold another round of talks with Iran in Geneva on Friday if Tehran provides a detailed proposal within 48 hours. Washington considers this meeting likely to be the last chance to reach an agreement.

Later, Iran signaled to the US that it is ready to make concessions regarding its nuclear program in exchange for lifting sanctions and recognizing its right to enrich uranium. Thus, the country intends to prevent an armed conflict.
