The US presidential candidate Donald Trump has a dual stance towards Ukraine and its President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, he does not have a clear plan on how to end the war, according to the material Negotiations, Trump and end of war: What Zelenskyy preparing Ukraine for and what is his plan by RBC-Ukraine.

In particular, as sources within the government tell, Ukraine as a state evokes quite negative associations for the former American President, especially due to the impeachment story in 2019.

However, at the same time, sources from RBC-Ukraine emphasize that Trump treats Zelenskyy with respect because of how the Ukrainian President has shown himself during the full-scale war: he did not leave his country and continues to persistently promote its interests abroad.

At the same time, even after the telephone conversation between Zelenskyy and Trump, it did not become clearer how exactly the potential future US president plans to end the war in 24 hours - apparently, he still does not have a specific plan. This conversation itself is part of a broader campaign by the Ukrainian government to establish ties with Trump and his entourage.

"In the end, everything will come down to the personal relationship between Zelenskyy and Trump," said an RBC-Ukraine government source.

Trump's peace plan

Donald Trump has repeatedly stated his intentions to end the war in Ukraine before his potential return to the White House. His advisors have already presented a plan to stop the conflict. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also shared his vision of Trump's "peace plan."

In addition, Trump claimed that he could end any war with a phone call within 24 hours.

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the possibility of a future meeting.
