US President Donald Trump said, in an interview with Breitbart News, that Russia has "very valuable earth". In his opinion, the United States "must deal" with Moscow.

"We should be dealing with Russia. They have the largest piece of land by far, bigger than China. They have 11 time zones. You can fly through 11 time zones from one side to the other. They have very valuable earth," he said.

Trump reminded that the United States is signing an agreement with Ukraine on rare earth materials and, according to him, "at least we can say we got our money back and we can do something."

He once again repeated the thesis that Europe's aid to Ukraine was a loan and that European countries would return the $100 billion they had provided. According to Trump, the United States will also return $350 billion.

Trump and Putin's interaction

On March 18, US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation. It was, in particular, about the war in Ukraine.

Trump and Putin allegedly agreed to stop shelling energy and infrastructure. But that same evening, Russia once again launched drones into Ukraine. Putin also demanded that military aid to Ukraine be stopped in the event of a ceasefire. Read more about Trump and Putin's conversation in RBC-Ukraine's article.

According to media reports, US allies are concerned about Trump's interest in establishing cooperation with Russia. According to Western media, Washington's partners are trying to limit intelligence sharing because they fear information leaks to Moscow.

German media also reported that the United States and Russia are allegedly discussing the resumption of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, and Berlin is trying to prevent this.
