What Russia struck wth
Shaheds
An air raid alert was declared in Ukraine the previous evening after the Russians launched Shahed strike drones. Russian drones were detected in Ukrainian airspace from various directions.
Kinzhal
At around 3 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukraine was gripped by widespread alarm — the Russians scrambled several MiG-31K aircraft. Almost immediately, the Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles were launched.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the main Russian targets were the western regions of Ukraine. At that time, explosions were reported in Lutsk.
Cruise missiles
Russia also used cruise missiles that night. Ukrainian Air Force reported their movement from the south and north. Monitoring channels reported the activity of Russian strategic aviation and missile carriers in the Black Sea. However, this was not officially reported.
Consequences of Russian strikes
Mukachevo
The Russians launched a missile strike on an enterprise in the city. As of 8 a.m., rescuers are dealing with the consequences. Local authorities also appealed to residents to close their windows. This is due to air pollution caused by the Russian missile strike.
"We ask everyone to close their windows tightly and not go outside unless necessary," the statement said.
As of 7:15 a.m., 12 people were reported injured in Mukachevo.
"10 people were taken to St. Martin's Hospital by ambulance, and two more victims came on their own," city officials said.
Lviv
The Russians attacked Lviv and the region with cruise missiles and strike drones.
Russia struck the area of Olena Stepanivna Street, where preliminary reports indicate casualties.
"The blast wave damaged dozens of houses: windows and roofs. All services are working on site. There is also information about fires in other places. We are checking," Lviv mayor Andrii Sadovyi wrote.
Meanwhile, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported the first casualty as a result of the strike.
"According to preliminary data, as a result of a combined Russian strike by UAVs and cruise missiles in Lviv, one person was killed and two were injured," said Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Dozens of residential buildings were also damaged.
As of 8:30 a.m., the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, also commented on the Russian strike on Lviv and Ukraine in general.
"Russia attacked Lviv with Shahed drones and missiles. There is one fatality. Many civilian buildings have been damaged," he said.
Yermak noted that Vladimir Putin talks about peace but does not take any steps to achieve it.
"On the contrary, he is stalling for time and continuing the war. Instead of real solutions, he is striking peaceful people. There is no logic in this. Only a desire to kill. We are working with our partners to stop the killings,” the head of the Presidential Office explained.
At 8:45 a.m., the Lviv mayor reported another third victim. According to him, it is a 38-year-old woman who is currently in St. Panteleimon Hospital.
"Superficial chest wound, hematomas, lung contusion. Condition is moderate, undergoing examination," the mayor added.
Zaporizhzhia
Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia twice. Several industrial infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged.
The blast wave destroyed houses, knocking out windows. Utility services are working at the sites of the Russian attacks. Several industrial infrastructure facilities were also damaged.
Cherkasy region
According to preliminary data, 6 Russian missiles and 12 drones were destroyed in the Cherkasy region.
There is no information about injuries at this time. At the same time, debris from a downed missile damaged residential buildings in the Zolotonosha district.
Lutsk
According to the mayor, Russia attacked Lutsk today with drones and missiles again.
As of 8 a.m., there were no casualties or fatalities.
Khmelnytskyi region
"Last night, during the air raid siren, Russian missiles and drones were detected in the region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces' air defense forces were deployed. There were shootdowns. Details will follow," said Serhii Tiurin, head of the regional military administration.
As of this time, there have been no reports of casualties, injuries, or damage.
At 8:57 a.m., Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, also responded to the latest Russian attack on Ukraine.
"Once again, the Russians have launched a senseless attack with missiles and Shahed drones on many cities: Lviv, Rivne, Lutsk, Mukachevo, and others. From a military point of view, these attacks make no sense whatsoever. Russia will not win the war, it will not break the rear, and it will not affect the battlefield. It is simply a desire to kill and terrorize civilians. However, again, this will not affect the war in any way," he added.
