Trump on Putin's offer to mediate: 'I don't need help with Iran. I need help with you'

US President Donald Trump revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to help mediate the conflict between Israel and Iran, Fox News reports.
According to Trump, Putin called him directly and made the offer.
"As you know Vladimir called me up. He said, can I help you with Iran? I said, 'no, I don't need help with Iran. I need help with you.' And I hope we're going to be getting a deal done with Russia, which is a shame. Six thousand soldiers died last week," he said.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, Trump had already made a similar statement. At the time, the US President said that Putin should first end the war that Russia started in Ukraine. Only after that could there be any talk of mediating the conflict in the Middle East.
Putin wants to act as a mediator
Earlier, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War noted that Putin is trying to divert global attention from Russia's war against Ukraine. The Kremlin's leader wants Moscow to act as a mediator between Iran and Israel.
Trump also said that Putin could serve as a mediator in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
Meanwhile, political analyst Volodymyr Fesenko, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, emphasized that Putin is "caught in a bind" as he tries to maintain a balance between the US and Iran.
The conflict between Israel and Iran
Earlier today, Trump announced the implementation of a ceasefire, but later Israel reported rocket fire coming from Iran.
Before departing for the Alliance summit, he made a sharp statement regarding the ceasefire violations between Israel and Iran, saying " they don't know what the f*** they're doing".
The US President also stated that he was "unhappy" with both Israel and Iran, later emphasizing he was "really unhappy" with Tel Aviv.
