Trump makes new statement on imminent end of war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump is confident that the war in Ukraine could end within a few weeks, according to Trump's statement during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House, Sky News reports.
Trump told the press that the war in Ukraine "could end within weeks" and said he sees no problem with sending European troops as peacekeepers.
He also mentioned a possible meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which could take place "this week or next week." Additionally, Trump confirmed he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin "at some point."
When asked whether Ukraine should give up territory as part of a peace agreement, Trump replied, "We'll see."
Trump's statements
Earlier, Trump accused Europe of spending less money on aid to Ukraine than the United States. Also, US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said that he did not see Europe at the table for negotiations on Ukraine. This has led to outrage and criticism among EU countries.
Also, Trump said that after the contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there is hope for peace. In addition, he said that the US and Ukraine are close to a deal on minerals.
Today, Trump said he could meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week or next week.
