US President Donald Trump denies involvement in limiting Ukraine's access to Starlink's military package, Starshield.

The president was asked who exactly decided to impose restrictions on Starlink for Ukraine — him or SpaceX owner Elon Musk.

"Well, I don’t know if it was anybody because it wasn’t me, and I don’t think it was Elon. And from what I understand, it’s the same as it’s always been," he replied.

Restrictions on Starlink

Ukrainian troops recently encountered problems with Starshield terminals. They lost connectivity when drones were flying at high speeds.

It was later revealed that the speed restriction was set at 160 km/h, leaving Ukrainian interceptor drones unable to overtake and destroy jet-powered UAVs.

Against this backdrop, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Musk to lift the restrictions, saying that the lives of Ukrainian civilians depended on it.

Musk, in turn, said that Starshield systems were under the control of the US military and the US government. According to him, only they could impose such restrictions.
