Trump claims Harris’ Michigan rally photos to be AI-generated fake
Former US president and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that the crowd photos at a Michigan rally for incumbent US Vice President Kamala Harris were generated by AI, according to the WP.
On the Truth Social page, he wrote that nobody was at Harris' plane, and the Democratic nominee “AI’d” these photos. Trump also believed a crowd of Harris supporters “didn’t exist,” called Harris “a cheater,” and added nobody was waiting for the Democratic nominee, as “ the ‘crowd’ looked like 10,000 people”.
WP debunks Trump’s statements and reports that thousands of people visited the Harris rally in Michigan when the vice president’s plane arrived at the Detroit airport. Also, the media adds that there is “no evidence that news organizations altered photos using artificial intelligence.”
Harris’ meeting with supporters in Detroit was streamed online and widely covered by many news agencies. The local media outlet MLive estimated that nearly 15,000 people were present.
Later, the Harris-Walz campaign denied Trump’s allegations, posting an actual photo of a crowd from last week's rally in Michigan and noting the 15,000-person crowd at the event.
Harris takes the lead
After Biden stepped aside from the presidential elections, Harris started actively raising its support among US citizens, holding rallies in different states.
According to the latest poll, Harris leads Trump by 5% in the US presidential election.
The other survey says Harris took the lead among likely voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania by 50 to 46 percent.
