Trump campaign unveils key attack strategies ahead of debate
The Trump campaign outlined potential lines of attack that Republican candidate Donald Trump is going to use in the presidential debate with Kamala Harris, reports CNN.
The campaign believes that Vice President Kamala Harris is responsible for key aspects of the current administration’s decisions. Trump campaign spokesperson Jason Miller named several issues, such as the handling of the US-Mexico border, Harris’ tie-breaking Senate votes on stimulus bills, and the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Miller also referenced Harris' recent CNN interview, where she mentioned her "values have not changed," despite evolving her stance on some issues. He suggested this "opens the door to talking about what are those values."
Additionally, Miller pointed out that Harris is thoroughly getting prepared for the debate with the help of new advisers, and this approach is quite confusing. "All these new people, these strangers trying to put thoughts in her head. These binders of stats and details. She has no idea what any of this is. No idea whatsoever. And she’s trying to figure out what type of person she wants to be because her positions are changing, though her values have stayed the same.”
In contrast, Miller when asked about Trump’s strategy for debate, said that the former president would "be himself." According to him, Trump has been preparing by giving interviews and delivering speeches at news conferences and town halls, so he's ready for any style of questions, as it's something he has been dealing with throughout the campaign.
