Trump and Zelenskyy teams talks may take place soon - Ukrainian MP
Negotiations between Ukraine's representatives and the team of the newly elected President of the United States of America Donald Trump may take place in early February, according to the head of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arakhamia.
“In early February, Ukraine Week will take place in Washington. I think the main processes and negotiations with the new Trump team will take place there. So we are waiting,” Arakhamia said.
“Ukraine Week is an advocacy event designed to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. The initiative includes various events, including thematic forums, roundtables, and meetings that bring together representatives of both countries. The main goal of the event is to discuss important issues related to deepening partnerships.
Zelenskyy's talks with Trump
Yesterday, January 20, Trump's inauguration ceremony took place in the US capital, Washington, DC. This event officially confirmed his assumption of the presidency and the White House.
As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, before sitting down to negotiate with Russia, he would like to receive guarantees from President Trump.
The head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, recently noted that a personal meeting between the President of Ukraine and Donald Trump may take place soon. In particular, he added that official talks and consultations would begin between the teams immediately after the inauguration.
In particular, Trump said that Putin wants to meet with him. The other day, the US president spoke again about Putin's desire to talk and added that preparations for such a contact were already underway.
