Trump speaks with Putin to broker Ukraine war ceasefire
US President Donald Trump announced that he had a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The American leader sought to negotiate with the Kremlin chief on ending Russia’s war against Ukraine, according to The New York Post.
The American leader said he wanted to try to negotiate with the Kremlin head to end Russia's war with Ukraine.
On February 7, Trump said he would probably talk to Putin. At the time, he mentioned good relations with the Russian dictator.
US President Trump also said he might soon meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to the American leader, the meeting should take place in Washington, as he is not going to Kyiv yet.
Ukrainian Armed Forces may have damaged Russian helicopter
On Saturday, February 8, an enemy Su-25 was destroyed on the outskirts of Toretsk. However, the soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade probably damaged the enemy helicopter.
According to the military, on the outskirts of Toretsk, a combined anti-aircraft missile unit of the 28th Brigade and the 57th Separate Tank Division sent a Russian Su-25 "to permanent parking" with the Igla missile system.
