Ukraine’s ballistic missile development is a top priority for the Ministry of Defense. The agency confirms that active work is underway on systems capable of striking deep behind enemy lines, according to a statement by Deputy Defense Minister Anatolii Klochko.

Ukraine has made significant progress in developing its own ballistic missile technology.

According to Klochko, the issue of Ukrainian ballistic systems is now being handled "out of turn" — it holds the highest level of priority in the defense sector.

"A lot has been done, an enormous amount of work has been carried out. And I will say this — the president (Volodymyr Zelenskyy) has already mentioned this. Firstly, more attention is now being paid to Ukrainian ballistic systems. This issue is not first, second, or third in line — it is beyond the queue," said Klochko.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that domestic ballistic capabilities are not just about technology, but about Ukraine’s ability to strike the enemy’s strategic targets deep behind the front lines.

According to Klochko, development is ongoing, and "in the near future" Ukrainian society will hear more specific statements about these weapons.

According to the president, the meeting included reports on the supply of Ukrainian brigades and unit formation. The Ukrainian missile program was also discussed in detail.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Kamyshin, the president’s advisor on strategic industries, recently stated that Ukraine’s ballistic missiles are now being produced in series.

According to Herman Smetanin, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, the country uses this weaponry on a monthly basis.
