Three people may be involved in the murder of former Ukrainian politician Portnov - Media

Spanish police are searching for three individuals who may be involved in the murder of former Ukrainian politician Andriy Portnov. One of them is the shooter, and the other two are accomplices, EFE reports.
The media outlet, citing sources, reports that the initial results of the investigation indicate the shooter fired at least nine shots, as nine shell casings were found at the crime scene. However, the exact number of bullets that hit Portnov is still unknown.
EFE clarifies that the large number of shell casings found at the scene suggests the perpetrator emptied most of the magazine of the weapon used.
At present, investigators are focusing on analyzing surveillance cameras around the location where the murder took place. This may play an important role in identifying the vehicle the criminals used to escape.
Law enforcement officials believe that three people were involved in the murder: the shooter and two accomplices who were supposed to facilitate the getaway toward Casa de Campo de Madrid, a large forested area.
Meanwhile, on the morning of May 22, forensic experts had already begun the autopsy of Portnov’s body. The preliminary report is not yet ready.
