Swiss company to donate energy equipment worth over 100,000 dollars to Ukraine

Swiss company PFIFFNER-Group will provide Ukraine with energy equipment worth 100,000 Swiss francs (over 100,000 dollars) and is considering the construction of a new plant, according to the press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Economy.
According to the report, Swiss energy equipment manufacturer PFIFFNER-Group has provided the Ukrainian government with a certificate worth 100,000 Swiss francs for the purchase of equipment needed by Ukraine's energy system.
The Swiss company is also considering the possibility of building a new plant in Ukraine.
It was noted that this was discussed during an online meeting between Ukraine's Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, and Marcel Rüfenacht, CEO of the Swiss industrial group PFIFFNER-Group.
"We are grateful to PFIFFNER-Group for contributing to the recovery of our energy system — a certificate worth 100,000 francs and potential investment in building a plant in Ukraine. This kind of support strengthens our energy resilience amid constant attacks," Svyrydenko emphasized.
She also thanked the leadership of PFIFFNER-Group for previously providing humanitarian technical assistance to Ukraine's energy sector. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation, including the possibility of opening a production facility for the Swiss company in Ukraine.
As the Ministry of Economy recalled, in the spring of 2023, PFIFFNER-Group had already provided assistance to Ukraine in the form of energy equipment — six current transformers worth over 300,000 Swiss francs.
Aid to Ukraine from Switzerland
In June, the Swiss government approved the signing of a bilateral agreement with Ukraine focused on cooperation within the reconstruction program. The document will serve as a foundation for implementing aid and development projects.
Additionally, in March, Switzerland doubled its funding for Ukraine's reconstruction.
Switzerland has also expressed readiness to deploy up to 200 soldiers for participation in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, provided a formal request is received from the United Nations.
