The number of wounded from the shelling of Zaporizhzhia on Thursday, August 10th, has increased to 19 people. Among the injured are four children, according to Anatolii Kurtiev, the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

"Due to the rocket strike on Zaporizhzhia yesterday, 19 people were injured, including four children," he said.

Furthermore, according to him, a total of 51 reports of building destruction and other civilian infrastructure damage in Zaporizhzhia, Pologivskyi, and Vasylivskyi districts were received by the police during the past day.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

Russian occupiers shelled Zaporizhzhia for two consecutive days – on August 9th and 10th. In the first case, the enemy launched an X-35 missile in the Shevchenkivskiy district residential area. Three people died, and nine were injured.

On August 10th, Russian occupants attacked Zaporizhzhia with a ballistic missile, Iskander. The Russian rocket struck a hotel in the city center. The UN reported that their employees often stayed at the Reikartz Hotel while working in Zaporizhzhia. One fatality was initially reported, and 16 people, including four children, were injured.
