Today, on May 9th, Russian terrorists have been shelling the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region throughout the day. As a result of the strikes, two people have been killed, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (RMA), Serhiy Lysak.

As Lysak reported, the enemy has been shelling the district from morning till evening using artillery, Grad missiles, and kamikaze drones. In total, more than 20 attacks were recorded.

Nikopol suffered the most. As a result of the strikes in the city:

  • Two people were killed.
  • Eight people were injured, including girls aged 15 and 16. Currently, the minors are in a moderate condition.

Additionally, the strikes caused damage to:

  • 8 high-rise buildings;
  • 25 private houses;
  • 16 outbuildings;
  • Greenhouses;
  • 30 solar panels;
  • Power lines;
  • Gas pipelines.

Also, a kindergarten, fire station, building of a charitable organization, bank, store, dozens of cars, and rescue vehicles, as well as ambulances, were damaged.

Situation in Nikopol

Russian troops regularly target Nikopol due to its proximity to the temporarily occupied Energodar in the Zaporizhzhia region.

This morning, Russia struck the city, resulting in the deaths of a 62-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. Additionally, two people were injured, aged 39 and 67.
