On the evening of August 3, Ukraine once again recorded the activity of enemy Shahed strike drones. Air raid alerts have already been issued in several regions, the Air Force of Ukraine reports.

The Ukrainian military announced confirmed information regarding enemy attack drones:

  • In the north and central parts of the Sumy region, moving south and southwest;
  • In the northeastern part of the Chernihiv region, moving southwest;
  • Along the border between the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, moving northwest;
  • Over the Poltava region, heading west (trajectory toward Myrhorod).

At 9:28 p.m. Kyiv time, the Air Force reported new groups of enemy drones detected in the eastern and southern parts of the Kharkiv region, flying westward.

Drone attacks on Ukraine

On the previous night, August 2, Russian forces also launched Shahed kamikaze drones toward Ukraine.

At around 00:30 a.m. local time, an explosion sounded in the city of Chuhuiv, the Kharkiv region. During the attack, Russian drones damaged several private homes, and local women were injured.

Drones also struck one of the districts of Kharkiv.

In addition, during the night of August 3, personnel from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recorded explosions and rising smoke near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

According to the reports, the explosions and smoke were caused by a strike on one of the plant's auxiliary facilities.

Furthermore, on August 2 at 10:01 p.m. local time, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Mykolaiv. The attack caused damage and destruction to residential buildings, and seven people were injured.
