Shahed drone attack: RF launched several groups of drones from south
Russian forces launched several groups of Shahed kamikaze drones towards the territory of Ukraine from the southern direction overnight on January 5, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russians launched several groups of drones from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. The drones moved through the Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions on a northern course.
Additionally, one of the groups is moving north through the Cherkasy region. Moreover, several drones were spotted in the Odesa region moving towards the Vinnytsia region.
Combined strikes by Russians on Ukraine
On January 4, Russian forces launched several rockets into Ukrainian territory. In particular, Kropyvnytskyi was under attack. The enemy shelled several energy facilities in the city, resulting in injuries.
Also, yesterday evening, the Russian army launched several groups of Shahed drones into Ukrainian territory. Air raid alerts were sounded in several southern and central regions.
Additionally, on January 2, the Russian military carried out a massive rocket attack on Ukraine. The air defense forces managed to shoot down 72 rockets. The majority of the rockets, about 60, were shot down in the Kyiv region. Among them were 10 hypersonic Kinjal missiles.
