On January 4, several energy companies in Kropyvnytskyi came under Russian fire. Eight employees were injured, and one was killed, according to the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andrii Raikovych.

"During another missile attack on Kropyvnytskyi, the Russians probably launched an X-59 missile. Buildings at several enterprises belonging to local energy companies were damaged," he says.

But, the most tragic thing is that workers were injured.

"Eight workers were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity. One worker, unfortunately, died," Raikovych says, adding that he worked as a car mechanic.

Condition of the wounded

All the wounded have shrapnel wounds.

"The medics of the regional hospital and the first aid station promptly assisted. All those who needed inpatient care are under the care of doctors," says the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration.

The State Emergency Service is still working at the facilities.

"The fire in one car was quickly extinguished. Several partially destroyed buildings are being inspected. A power line was also damaged," he adds, noting that there were power and water outages in some areas of the city, but everything has been restored.

On January 4, explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi. At the time, Raikovych asked not to post anything on social media, promising to tell the details of what happened later.

Soon after, it became known that Russian troops had attacked the factory in Kropyvnytskyi. Dead and wounded were reported, but their number was not specified.
