School shooting occurs in US state of Georgia: Casualties reported
In the US state of Georgia, on Wednesday, September 4, a shooting occurred at a school. An unknown individual opened fire on high school students, resulting in fatalities and injuries, CNN informs.
At least four people have been killed and around 30 injured in a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.
The suspect is currently in custody. Their identity has not yet been established, and it is unclear whether they were a student at the school.
Meanwhile, the White House press office has reported that President Joe Biden has been informed of the tragic incident. The administration is coordinating efforts with federal and local agencies.
