The first satellite images showing the aftermath of a successful attack by Ukrainian drones on a Russian oil depot in Armavir, Krasnodar region, have appeared online, according to Skhemy.
The images show the linear production and control station in the city of Armavir following a drone attack. Damage to at least one of the fuel infrastructure tanks on the facility’s grounds is clearly visible.
In addition, a satellite captured another tank at the same oil depot that was damaged back in March of this year. It is now evident that it has not been repaired or replaced.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful strike on the Russian military-industrial facility. He stated that the attack on the oil depot was a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

According to the head of state, such strikes are part of a strategy to force the aggressor country to make peace.
Enemy oil facilities are regularly targeted by drone attacks. On the night of May 30, several fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia and occupied Crimea came under drone attack.
At that time, a tanker and a fuel storage tank caught fire in the port area of Taganrog. Russian and OSINT sources also reported possible strikes on an oil depot in Armavir and oil infrastructure in Feodosia.
Reuters reported that Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries are having an increasingly significant impact on the Russian fuel sector. Diesel production has been declining for the second month in a row.
In addition, on May 28 and during the night of May 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Volgograd refinery and many key Russian targets.
