On the evening of August 2, Russian troops attacked Kherson with two guided aerial bombs. Due to the attack, a bridge leading to one of the city's districts was damaged, Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reports.

"Around six in the evening, the Russian army launched an airstrike on Kherson. The enemy dropped two guided aerial bombs on the city. Due to the attacks, a road bridge leading to the Korabel district was damaged. In addition, three private houses and an apartment building were wrecked," the statement says.

At the moment, there is no information about casualties. Further details will be released later.

As of 8:15 p.m. local time, Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, reported that the Russians likely struck with two high-explosive aerial bombs in total - one hit the bridge, and the other hit residential buildings. As of now, there are no casualties.

Regarding the condition of the bridge to the Korabel district, Tolokonnikov said it will be clear after experts inspect the impact site.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, is urging people to temporarily refrain from traveling in that direction until further notice.

The Russians also shelled Kherson in the morning of August 2. Due to the Russian attack, two civilians were killed. Two more sustained serious injuries.

Before that, in the suburbs of Kherson, an enemy drone attacked a civilian car. Two people were injured. Also, the Russian army recently struck rescuers who were eliminating the consequences of a previous shelling in Kherson.

In addition, on the afternoon of July 25, Russian troops struck medics in Kherson with a drone. The enemy shelling resulted in injuries.
