Fighters from the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) were tasked with halting the Russian army's advance in a specific sector of the Zaporizhzhia front. It has only now come to light how they managed to do this, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC).
HUR reports that in the winter of 2025–2026, fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps were given an important mission.
They were tasked with halting the advance of Russian invaders in a specific sector of the Zaporizhzhia direction.
To do so, the RVC fighters needed several months of continuous combat operations. Throughout this time, they actively carried out assaults.
According to the Corps, they managed to clear a total of 9 square kilometers of Russian-occupied territory.
Furthermore, 24 Russian invaders surrendered, and another 80 invaders were eliminated.
"The assigned defense sector has been stabilized," the RDK emphasizes.
The Corps’ soldiers also released an extensive video report. It contains a complete chronicle of the winter-spring campaign as seen through the eyes of the Ukrainian defenders:
The RVC defends Zaporizhzhia as part of the Tymur Special Unit of HUR.
After the GUR stated that the death of RDK leader Denis Kapustin had been staged, Russia once again issued a warrant for his arrest.
Ukrainian intelligence revealed how it staged the elimination of the commander and explained how much money they were able to extract from Russia in exchange for his so-called death.
It also recently came to light that HUR fighters outwitted elite Russian paratroopers and lured them into a trap.
