A special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) eliminated elite Russian paratroopers in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russia was on its way to film propaganda footage, but fell into a trap.
The paratroopers were on their way to film propaganda
The Russian army sent reconnaissance units of the Airborne Forces, considered the elite of the Russian Armed Forces, to the Stepnogorsk area in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Their mission was not combat-related: to seize the settlement and film a video for a report to Russia’s top leadership, in other words, to create propaganda footage.
Russian group operated at night. Rain and special anti-thermal-imaging cloaks were supposed to help them remain undetected.
However, assault troops from the HUR’s Artan special unit were already waiting.
They deliberately allowed the Russians to get closer—and only then struck. Exclusive footage of the mission was released by the agency’s press service.
Ukrainian long-range strikes are forcing Russian air defense forces to constantly relocate and deplete their resources at an accelerated pace.
Mobilization in Russia is failing to keep up with the army’s losses on the front lines.
